Markade (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app or services (collectively, the “Services”). Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please do not use our Services.

We collect personal information and data to improve your experience and to facilitate trades within our platform. The types of information we collect include:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, device location, profile picture, birthday, and gender.

• Usage Data: Data from your interactions on the app, such as swipe actions, which is collected for internal analysis and may be sold in aggregate for market insights.

 

II. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To enhance and personalize your experience on Markade.

• To facilitate trades between users.

• To send curated marketing recommendations based on user preferences and activity.

• To aggregate data for market insights, which may be shared with our clients.

Note: Markade does not sell personally identifiable information (PI) to clients or sell disaggregated data.

 

III. Data from Minors

Markade is intended for users 18 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 18, you are prohibited from using the app. If a user is found to be a minor, we will take action to remove their account. If a minor registers using falsified information, they will be removed from the platform once detected.

 

IV. Data Retention and User Control

• Data Retention: We retain user data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by law.

• User Control: Currently, users can opt out of receiving marketing emails.

• Deletion: To remove data from the Markade platform, users can complete this form.

 

V. Data Sharing

At this time, we do not share personal data with third-party service providers for purposes such as payment processing or technical support. However, we may aggregate user data and sell it to clients for market insights.

Note: Markade never sells personally identifiable information (PI) or disaggregated data to clients.

 

VI. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Policy from time to time. For minor changes, notifications will be provided in-app. For major updates, users will receive notification via email. The most recent version of the Policy is always available upon request by emailing privacy@markade.app.

 

VII. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the data we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is 100% secure. We encourage users to safeguard their account credentials and use secure networks when accessing Markade.

 

VIII. Your Choices

Marketing Emails: You can opt out of receiving marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the emails you receive from us.

We do not currently provide additional data control options, but we are always exploring new ways to empower users in managing their data.
